Belgium
Currently medical responsible for Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) operations in Europe. Medical doctor, with a Master in International health and a long-standing humanitarian experience, having covered diverse roles, both in the field and in the Headquarters, with MSF. In the recent years, I contributed to design a variety of MSF projects along the migration routes, in the Mediterranean area, and introduced rehabilitation of torture survivors, as a new expertise topic within the organization. I have participated to researches and publications to denounce the dire conditions faced by the migrant population and to improve medical interventions responding to identified gaps and needs, and worked on a recollection of experiences of MSF in the field of detention.
